SAFETY TESTING

The Arc Assistant is an innovative piece of kids furniture that helps to assist your child to safely stand by you at the kitchen bench (or other benches).

The Arc Assistant has been tested at an accredited independent IANZ laboratory in New Zealand and complies with the below sections (*) of the Australia/New Zealand Standards AS/NZS 8124:1 2016 and AS/NZS 2172 2013.

Here's an interesting fact: In New Zealand, there are no mandatory testing standards for children's stools. There is not a specific safety standard for stools, like there is for highchairs, cots and toys. Therefore it has not been tested to the highchair standards or the full standards for the cots or toys, as children's stools don't fall within these categories. At Arc NZ Baby safety is paramount though and for this reason the Arc Assistant was voluntarily put through rigorous testing and complies with the below safety standard sections.

(*)From Standard AS/NZS 8124 /Pt.1/ 2016 the Arc Assistant was tested for and complies with the: Stability Test 5.12.6, Overload Test 5.12.5, Tension Test 5.24.6, Projection Test 4.8, Reasonably Foreseeable Abuse Test 5.24, Tip Over Test 5.24.3, Material Quality Test 4.3.1, Wooden Toys Test 4.7 and Projections Test 4.8

(*)From Standard AS/NZS 2172 2013 the Arc Assistant was tested for and complies with the: Stability Test 9.8, Informative labelling II and Information on Leaflet I and Marking Durability 12.3.
